Clarify. Intake is a portion model, not measured expenditure; clarify major portions and repeated weight trend.

Intake confidence: Moderate for listed foods; low for maintenance interpretation. Quantity confidence: Estimated chicken and sauce; whole yogurt tub confirmed. Body status: Unassessed.

General label advice; this is neither a Daily Value nor a measured personal energy target.

Energy requirements depend on the person and activity. The 2023 EER framework estimates energy balance; no personal calorie target or weight-change goal has been agreed. A food label reference is not measured expenditure.

Food contributions and uncertainty

Values are available for 13 of 13 recorded foods. Product identity and portion assumptions still limit accuracy.

The saved portion/recipe scenarios span 2,815–3,500 kcal. This is a sensitivity range, not a confidence interval; uncertain food composition and unreported foods can fall outside it.

What an energy estimate means

Energy supports ordinary metabolism, movement, training and recovery. It has an Estimated Energy Requirement (EER) rather than an RDA to exceed or a universal upper limit. The National Academies updated its energy equations in 2023. They use age, sex, height, weight and a physical activity category, and require adjustment against weight over time because individual needs differ. A workout's duration alone does not settle the activity category. National Academies: 2023 energy references

The first useful question is whether a repeatable eating pattern supports the intended weight trend, appetite, training and recovery. More calories are not automatically better when training increases, and one evening's hunger cannot identify maintenance intake.

What the latest log can establish

The latest estimate for my food log models 3,090 kcal, with 2,815–3,500 kcal under the saved chicken, sauce and nut portion scenarios. This is food intake, not measured expenditure or a maintenance target. The range is not a statistical confidence interval and omits several uncertainties: the nonfat yogurt label remains provisional, produce counts use generic weights, the chicken's edible meat and skin are estimated, and the chimichurri recipe is unknown. The eating date is unconfirmed; the report was recorded after midnight on October 10, 2026.

Chicken contributes about 715 kcal, the confirmed whole yogurt tub 480, four bananas 420, the rice pouch 360 and the sauce scenario 250. A nominal 2 oz sauce container describes its volume; it does not establish the amount of oil. These are useful places to clarify before making the daily food list larger or smaller.

Attention: Clarify. Verify the yogurt label, edible chicken portion and sauce product, then relate repeated days to consistent morning weight averages. The present estimate cannot establish either underfueling or excess intake. No energy target has been agreed.

A workable next adjustment

Keep the foods that taste good and fit same-day shopping. Distribute yogurt, fruit and nuts across the day and keep the chicken and rice meal manageable. If repeated intake and weight trends indicate a change is useful, adjust one ordinary portion and observe the result. Do not restore disliked beans or olives to reach a calorie calculation. A seven-day weight average is a useful recording convention; changes in water, glycogen and gut contents still complicate short-term interpretation.

In a small randomized study of 39 elite athletes, nutritional counseling increased weight more than eating freely, but additional gain included more body fat; extra energy did not produce a clearly superior lean-mass result. This supports caution about forcing a large surplus, while its elite population and combined counseling intervention do not identify my calorie requirement. Garthe et al., 2013

The reported short interval sessions, limited lifting sets and desk work deserve their actual durations in the log. Scooter trips are transport observations, not assumed exercise. A later training program is context for future logs, not evidence that all its sessions were completed on this eating day.
